Offender ordered a tombstone, and gave a cheque on the Bank of New Zealand, Mataura, for above amount, purporting to be signed by Robert Winning, secretary, with stamp of Mataura Co-operative Dairy Association. He received a cheque complainant for £2O and £5 in notes and gold, and cashed the cheque.
