PERSONS WANTED.

Hamilton. —10th ultimo, on warrant for theft of a gentlemen’s free-wheel bicycle, 24 in. frame, upturned handle-bars, front-rim brake, new Empire saddle, No. 39, a new tire on back wheel, odd pedals (one new and the otherold), top and bottom bars are dented and have been freshly enamelltd, property of Jenkins and Mclntyre, bicyclemakers, value £7, Rashley, age about twenty-eight, height 5 ft. 8 in., medium build, fair complexion, moustache somewhat reddish, respectable appearance ; dressed in a lightcoloured t*eed suit and soft greyish-felt hat and white shirt. He gave his name as Rashley, and hired the bicycle for a couple of hours, but failed to return it.

Karangahake.—lsth ultimo, on warrant for theft of a gentlemen’s 15 ct. gold chain, small twisted links, green-stone-tiki pendant attached, value £B, property of Peter darken, miner, William McGregor, alias Woods, age thirty-two, height sft. 6|in., miner, native of Scotland, swarthy complexion, dark-brown hair, right eye missing, a Highlander, two girls, snake, and tree tattooed on right arm. (See Police Gazette, 1907, page 76.) Offender asked permission to look at the chain, and put it in his pocket, and refused to return it. . A

Otorohanga.—2sth April last, on warrant for obtaining goods to’the value of £lllßs. from Green, Q&t'ebrook.afid Go.,A* y by falsely representing that they were going to fprm a road near Otorohanga, and gave an order on their pay, J.Pfap Castleberg, and E. Collier. First: height 6 ft., labourer, dark hair and moustache, dark complexion, medium build, round shouljddrs, looks away when talking. Second: Age twenty-one, height 5 ft. 7 in., labourer, fair hair and complexion, medium build,-bo\ish appearance. Two other offenders, Lvems, alias Ryan, and Arthur Coles, have been arrested in Connection with above offence.

Ongarue.—l3th ultimo, on warrant for theft of a bandsaw, a pink-coloured rug with a small tear in one corner, a two-bladed pocket-knife, horn handle, value £1 35., property of Alexander -Johnstone, labourer, J. Godfrey, age about thirty, height 6 ft., labourer, native of England, medium build, fair complexion, brown hair, fair moustache, light blue eyes, profusely tattooed on arms and legs ; dressed in dark-tweed suit, brown cap, and water-tight boots with large eyelets. Another charge of theft pending.
