PROPERTY RECOVERED.
Napier.— MACKAY, LOGAN, CALWELL, AND CO.’S property has been recovered, and Percy Jones and William Perceval Hughes arrested for the offence. Jones arrested at Wellington by Detective D. Connolly and Acting-Detective W. Lewis, on information supplied by Detective W. Hill, and Hughes arrested by Detective W. Hill and Constable J. Bagrie, Napier police, and committed for trial. Suspicion no longer attached to Daniel alias Charles Cucumber, alias Dan Yan. (See Police Gazette, 1907, page 432.)
Ophir. —JOSEPH McLENNAN’S gun has been recovered by Constable Macrae, Milton police, from the suspect James Stevens, or Stephens, who was arrested for the offence by Constable T. Johnston, Naseby police, and charge dismissed. (See Police Gazette, 1907, page 405.)
