EXTRACTS FROM NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
(Prom Gazette , 1907, pages 1187, 1188, and 1189.) Haivhe's Bay Acclimatisation District defined. PLUNKET, Governor. IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by “ The Animals Protection Act, 1880,” and the Acts amending the same, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint those parts of the said colony described in the Schedule hereto to be a district under and for the purposes of the said Act, and I do hereby declare that such district shall be known as the “ Hawke’s Bay Acclimatisation District.”
SCHEDULE. Hawke’s Bay Acclimatisation District. All that area bounded towards the north generally by East Taupo County; towards the north-east generally by the Wairoa Acclimatisation District, as defined by Warrant under “ The Animals Protection Act, 1880,” dated 28th September, 1901, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 87 of the year 1901, page 1923; towards the east generally by the sea; towards the south generally by the Akitio and Pahiatua Counties; towards the west generally by the Pohangina, Kiwitea, and Rangitikei Counties; and towards the north-west generally by the Wanganui and Waimarino Counties to the southern boundary of East Taupo County aforesaid. The said area comprises the Counties of Hawke’s Bay, Patangata, Woodville, Waipawa, and Weber, and part of the County of Wairoa. As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this tenth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and seven.

Auckland Acclimatisation District defined. PLUNKET, Governor. IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by “ The Animals Protection Act, 1880,’/’ and the Acts amending the same, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint those parts of the said colony described in the Schedule hereto to be a district under and for the purposes of the said Act, and I do hereby declare that such district shall be known as the “Auckland Acclimatisation District.”
SCHEDULE. Auckland Acclimatisation District. All that area comprised in the Counties of Rodney, Waitemata, Eden, Manukau, Coromandel, Thames, Ohinemuri, Raglan, Waikato, Waipa, Kawhia, Awakino, and Waitomo, and in that part of each of the Counties of Piako and West Taupo lying north of a right line extending south-westerly from the summit of Puwlienua Mountain, at the easternmost corner of Piako County, to the summit of Rangitoto Mountain.

Chamois to be deemed Game. PLUNKET, Governor. IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by “ The Animals Protection Act, 1880,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby declare that from and after the date hereof chamois ( Rupicapra, tragus) shall come within the operation of the said Act as fully and effectually as if they had been included in the Third Schedule thereto. Inspector of Weights and Measures, County of Sounds, &-c., appointed. Colonial Secretary’s Office, Wellington, 10th April, 1907. HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Constable William Southgate to be an Inspector of Weights and Measures under “ The Weights *and Measures Act, 1903,” for the Counties of Sounds and Marlborough, and Boroughs of Picton and Blenheim, vice Constable Denis Carmody.
