Auckland. —sth or 6th instant, from the bedroom of HUBERT RUSSELL, horse-trainer, New Plymouth, a brownleather purse, containing two £5 notes, eight sovereigns, a Jubilee sovereign, £1 in silver, a small gold piece (value 4s. 2d.), a sixpence with a hole in it, two farthings, and an agreement signed by C. H. Parker to pay H. Russell the sum of £3O.

Gisborne. —Bth or 9th instant, from PETER RAVEN, carpenter, a Waterbury watch, indistinct initials on case, glass cracked, a 9 ct. gold curb chain; value, £3 10s. Theft from the person on board the s.s. “ Mokoia,” between Napier and Gisborne.

Wanganui. —l7 th instant, from Victoria Avenue, property of P. C. PRICE, cycle-agent, a gentlemen’s bicycle, B.S.A. parts, drop handles, cork grips, new Cambridge tire on back wheel, rat-trap pedals ; value, £9. Identifiable.

Hunterville. —18th or 19th instant, from the stable of the Rev. JAMES HALL BRANSCOME, a gentlemen’s Eng-lish-made hogskin saddle, a flat-headed silver-topped nail on each side of pommel, “ F. J. BEETHAM, sheep-farmer, two fine-linen sheets; five cotton sheets, all four yards long, marked “W.H.8.” on left corner in red cotton; a white tablecloth; five square linen pillow-cases; four bath-towels; [three flannel shirts, fine striped grey material; and a pyjama suit: value, about £lO. Wellington.— 4th instant, from HENRY FERGUSON, at the Opera House, a pigskin purse, containing two sovereigns ; a ladies’ gold open-faced watch, No. 20689, “A.0.E.” on back, value £5. Theft from the person.

Blenheim.— Between 24th and 26th ultimo, from the bedroom of CHARLES MURRAY, sheep-farmer, a ladies’ 18 ct. gold ring, set with three diamonds and two sapphires in plain setting ; value, £5. Suspicion attached to Fanny Webb, alias Vincent, age about thirty, height 5 ft. 4 in., domestic, native of Australia, light-brown hair, pale complexion, very full grey eyes, rather large straight nose; usually wears dark dress ; supposed to have come to Wellington.

Christchurch.— Between 15th and 23rd instant, from the dwelling of JAMES McNEELY, Junction Street, a gentlemen’s black-cloth Chesterfield overcoat, velvet collar “New Zealand Clothing Factory ”on tag; half-dozen metal teaspoons in case, “Stewart Dawson and Co.” on inside of case; a gentlemen’s gold scarf nugget pin; a gold pin with knob on top; a gold pin with red stone; and two brown ostrich-tip feathers : total value, £5 ss. 6d. Identifiable.

Christchurch. —Bth instant, from Colombo Street, property of ALBERT PEARD, a gentlemen’s Rudge-Whitworth bicycle, No, 154; value, £B. Identifiable.

Leeston. —2oth instant, from the dwelling of WILLIAM MARSH, farmer, a Jubilee sovereign brooch, a sovereign, five or six shillings’ worth of fourpenny pieces, a silver rupee, a Kruger threepenny piece (recovered), a twopenny piece, a five-cent piece, and a dark-leather purse. Suspicion attached to a boy who was seen coming from the dwelling, age about fifteen, fair hair ; dressed in dark knicker suit, brown cap, and sand-shoes, and tendered two fourpenny pieces and a Kruger threepenny piece in part payment of his railway fare to Timaru. Supposed escapee from Burnham.

Southbridge. —2oth instant, from the dwelling of THOMAS LUXTON, fireman, a ladies’ open-faced gold watch, maker Baume; a ladies’ long gold chain with plain links, value £5 ; and a pistol, value 3s. Suspicion attached to supposed Burnham boy who broke into the dwelling of William Marsh on above date and left by train for Timaru. He was then wearing a watch and chain. (See preceding paragraph.)

St. Albans.— Between 18th and 22nd instant, from the dwelling of FRANCIS DEAMER, Bristol Street, eight gold American and foreign coins, about thirteen silver foreign coins, a gold band ring set with aquamarine stone about ] in. square ; value, £6. Identifiable.

Oamaru. —Between 31st ultimo and 2nd instant, from the paddock of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Company, at Richmond, 119 ewes with lambs at foot, all branded L|-i- lambs have round hole punched in ear ; value, £35.
