Constable J. Butler, No. 883, Ongarue police, has been awarded £3 for services in connection wiih the conviction of James Malone and Dinah Marks for sly-grog selling. (06/2043.) Detective D. Connolly, No. 752, and Constable D. Stewart, No. 547, Wellington police, have been awarded 10s. each for arresting E. Moore, an absentee from H.M.S. “Challenger.” (06/22.)
Police Examinations (Circular No. 14/06). Circular No. 16/06. The first annual examination will be held at District Headquarters on Tuesday, the 22nd January next, at 10 a.m. The subjects will be— Criminal Code and Amendments. Evidence Act.
