Constable J. Butler, No. 883, Ongarue police, has been awarded £3 for services in connection wiih the conviction of James Malone and Dinah Marks for sly-grog selling. (06/2043.) Detective D. Connolly, No. 752, and Constable D. Stewart, No. 547, Wellington police, have been awarded 10s. each for arresting E. Moore, an absentee from H.M.S. “Challenger.” (06/22.)
Police Examinations (Circular No. 14/06). Circular No. 16/06. The first annual examination will be held at District Headquarters on Tuesday, the 22nd January next, at 10 a.m. The subjects will be— Criminal Code and Amendments. Evidence Act. Police Offences Acts. Offensive Publications Acts. Police duties generally. Members of the Force desiring to undergo examination will notify their intention accordingly. W.
