Auckland.— loth or 12th ultimo, from the shop of JOHN THOMAS DROUGHT, grocer, Shortland Street, 1 box yellow Three Castles cigarettes, 1 box Old Judge cigarettes, 3 lb. of Welcome Nugget stick-tobacco, 31b. of Havelock stick-tobacco, 5 lb. of Derby stick-tobacco, 6 packets of Melrose cigarettetobacco, 6 packets Old Judge cigarette-tobacco, 1} lb. of long-cut cigarette-tobacco, and 1 lb. of odd stick-tobacco, and half a box of A. G. cigarette-papers; total value, £5 10 s. Breaking and entering.
Port Awanui.— 29th or 30th March last, from the dwelling of WILLIAM MILLER, a cheque, No. 835638, on Bank of Australasia. Gisborne, for £7 10s., drawn by A. and L. Manning in favour of Hoani Ngatai or bearer ; a cheque for £2, drawer and bank unknown.
Port Awanui. —6th April last, from the kitchen of the Rose Hotel, property of MARION O’BRIEN, cook, a gold band-ring, “Mother” inscribed on inside; value, £1 10s. Identifiable.
Newton.— Bth ultimo, from the bedroom of MARGARET McKENZIE, Karaka Street, a gentlemen’s gold open-faced Geneva watch, “ D. McK.” engraved on inside case; a gold pencil; a fancy box, and £4 in notes and gold ; total value, £lO 10s.
Parnell. —7th ultimo, from the bedroom of ALICE GILL, St. Stephen’s Avenue, a ladies’ gold Rotherham hunting-watch, No. 94461, value, £lB ; a ladies’ long 9-ct. gold chain, square double links, a round gold ring and a. gold hook at respective ends, value £10; a brown crocodile - skin silver-mounted purse, about 5 in. long, containing £1 in two-shilling end half-crown pieces, “ Alice Gill ” written on inside flap of purse.
Te Aroha. —l9th ultimo, from the shop-window of WILLIAM MANSON, draper, a light-giey Kaiapoi tweed overcoat with light thread running through it, size 6; value £2 15s. Identifiable.
Waipawa.— 27th ultimo, from the sitting-room of the Empire Hotel, pioperty of PETER SIMON, hawdier, two ladies’ open-face silver watches (one hunting); six gentlemen’s Swiss Waterbury open-face watches; a Bengal razor; two Champion razors, a superior-finish one made in Australia; eight imitation-greenstone brooches ; three silver brooches; eighteen rolled-gold brooches; three scarf-pins, two with greenstone hearts, imitation opal; six pearl and six rolled - go d collar-studs; nine cigarette-holders in blue case; two greenstone hearts ; a ladies’ rolled-gold chain with greenstone heart, “ Kia Ora ” ; four gentlemen’s mixed silver watchchains; seven scissors with black and white handles; two white-silk handkerchiefs, one large, one small; seven pocket.

Suspicion attached to a man named Searl, who was in the sitting-room. Description: age about thirty-two, height 5 ft. 9 in., medium build, dark complexion, clean-shaved except dark moustache; dressed in dark-tweed suit and hard black-felt hat; probably a spieler.
Nelson. —26th May last, from Mercer’s cycle-shop, property of ATHOL COLEMAN, clerk, a gentlemen’s “ Swift Royal ” bicycle, No. 215218, black-enamelled except rims, which are bright, very wide handle-bars, cork grips, Palmer or clipper tires, rat-trap pedals, a tool-bag and black composition pump attached ; the top bar is badly rubbed ana has a large dent in it; value, £l4. Identifiable.
Dunedin. —Bth ultimo, from the shop of JOHN SOURNESS, jeweller, two sovereigns, 17s. 6d. in silver, a ladies’ silver hunting-watch, “ S. for S. ” scratched on inside of case near the hinge; value, £2. Breaking and entering by window.
