APPREHENSIONS, PERSONS FOUND, ETC.
Auckland.— Edmund Burke, assault, has been arrested by Sergeant J. Twomey, Onehunga police, and remanded. (See Police Gazette, 1905, page 447.)
Pahiatua. — Charles Alexander Byron Piesse, default of maintenance, has been arrested by the Wailii police and remanded. (See Police Gazette, 1906, page 89.)
Petone. — Thomas O’Neill, default of fine, has been arrested by Constable J. R. Thomson, Mount Cook police, and lodged in Wellington Gaol. (See Police Gazette, 1906, page 66.)
Ashburton. William Henry Thompson, alias Harold Thompson, theft of bicycle from Henry Jones, has been arrested by Constable E. J. Jones, Ashburton police, and convicted and discharged. (See Police Gazette, 1905, page 409.) Bicycle not recovered.
Dunedin. — William Hornby, wife-desertion, has been arrested by Acting-Detectives Connolly and McLeod, Dunedin police. (See Police Gazette, 1906, page 100.)
Invercargill. John William Weaver, alias Thomas Montague, alias Robert Maggs, false pretences at Sydney, has-been arrested at Hobart for an offence committed at Invercargill, and extradited to New Zealand. (See Police Gazette, 1906, pages 54, 66, and 82.)
Sydney.— Arthur Lewis Elwyn, theft, has been arrested at Brisbane. (See Police Gazette, 1906, page 101.) (06/552.)
