EXTRACT FROM NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
(From Gazette, 1905, page 2503.) Establishment of Government Industrial School
Education Department, Wellington. 25th October, 1905. BY virtue of the power vested in me by sections 4 and 10 of “ The Industrial Schools Act, 1882,” I. Richard John Seddon, Minister of Education, do hereby notify that I have established at Weraroa, near Levin, in the Wellington District, a Government industrial school, under the name of “ The Boys’ Training Farm, Weraroa,” and have approved of George Melville Burlinson as manager thereof within the meaning and for the purposes of the said Act. The establishment of the said school is to take effect from the Ist November, 1905. R. J. SEDDON, Minister of Education.
