Rangiora. —Between 22nd and 24th ultimo, from the whare of REGINALD FITZPATRICK, labourer, Southbrook, twenty-two £1 notes on the Bank of New Zealand, and a £1 note, bank unknown. The notes were held together with an old yellow elastic band sewn with white cotton. Suspicion attached to James Desmond Lowe, an absentee from His Majesty’s service, aged nineteen, height 5 ft. 8 in., a stoker, native of New Zealand, blue eyes, fair complexion; dressed in old brown coat and hat, blue jersey, and dungaree trousers. Dunedin.— 4th instant, from the GOVERNMENT RAIL-WAY-STATION, Ravensbourne, a leather cash - bag with padlock, containing £8 6s. 3d., consisting of one £5 note on Bank of New Zealand (torn at top left-hand corner), a sovereign, sixteen sixpences, thirty-one threepenny pieces, two half-crowns, and the remainder in shillings. Bag recovered. The station door was forced open with a jemmy, and the safe blown open with an explosive.

Dunedin. —4th instant, from the GOVERNMENT RAIL-WAY-STATION, Burke, a leather cash-bag with brass padlook, two half sovereigns and £2 ss. 6d. in silver. Entrance was apparently effected by a key, and the safe blown open with an explosive.

Dunedin. —2nd instant, from the GOVERNMENT RAILWAY STATION, Mosgiel, four £1 notes, about £6 in silver and about £2 10s. worth of penny and halfpenny railway stamps. The station was broken into and the safe blown open by an explosive.
