INQUIRIES, ETC., FROM OUTSIDE NEW ZEALAND.
Hobart. — A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Carl Yon Ledebur, alias Charles Rowell, for false pretences. Description: Age forty-three, height sft. 7^in., medium build, sallow complexion, dark hair and moustache, eyebrows meet, very square shoulders, scar on left wrist; a painter by trade, but has been practising as an electric masseur, and thereby professing to cure cancer and consumption. He obtained the sum of £ls 18s. 6d. from one Ann Elliott by falsely representing that he had the disposal of a certain instrument called a “massacon.” If located, information to be sent to the Commissioner’s office before arresting.
