INQUIRIES, ETC., FROM OUTSIDE NEW ZEALAND.
Newtown. —A warrant has been issued by the Newtown Bench for the arrest of John Frederick McGregor Skinner, charged with wife-desertion. He is twenty-eight years of age, 5 ft. 7 in. high, dark complexion, black hair, clean shaved, mark of scald on right wrist; wears a blueserge suit and hard black hat; a milk carter. Complainant, Margaret Ramsay Skinner, “ Havelock,” Edgeware Road, Marrickville. Offender is said to have come to New Zealand about six months ago. Arrest not desired, but, if found, to be induced to make provision for his wife. (See New South Wales Police Gazette, 1904, page 388.) (05/921.)
England.— lnquiry requested as to the whereabouts of James Meir, who left Liverpool about twenty-four years ago, and was last heard of at Auckland eighteen years ago.
