APPREHENSIONS AND PERSONS FOUND.
Gisborne.— H. G. Lomax, false pretences on Common, Shelton, and Co. (Limited), has been arrested by Constables J. A. Cruickshank and J. J. Melville, Bluff police, and remanded. (See Police Gazette, 1905, page 133.)
Palmerston North. — Leonard John Meyrick, default of fines, ha 3 been arrested by Detective F. J. Bishop and Acting-Detective A. Ward, Christchurch police. Fines paid. (See Police Gazette, 1905, page 145 )
Dannevirke.— John J. Clifton, failing to make provision for the maintenance of his unborn illegitimate child, has been arrested by Constable C. Lill -y, Masterton police, and remanded. (See Police Gazette, 1905, page 145.)
Wellington. — James Hendry Elliott Tyson, disobeying an order of Court, has been arrested by Constable C. J. King, Manners Street police, on information supplied by Detective J. J. Cassells, Wellington police, and lodged in Wellington Gaol. (See Police Gazette, 1905, page 66.) He is not identical with J. Hendy. (See Police Gazette , 1905, page 146.)
Christchurch. — Charles N. Clarke, theft from Taylor and Oakley, has been arrested by Detective L. D. Benjamin, New Plymouth police, and remanded. (See Police Gazette, 1905, page 105.)
Christchurch.— Archibald Malcolm McDuff, failing to make provision for his unborn illegitimate child, has been arrested by Constable T. Keenan, Gisborne police, on information supplied by Acting-Detective J. A. Raynes, Napier police. (See Police Gazette, 1905, pages 126 and 146.)
Timaru. —J. Johnson, alias John Spain, alias Spaan, alias Matson, forgery on John Gardiner, has been arrested by Constable I). Connolly, Dunedin police, and remanded. (See Police Gazette, 1905, page 116.)
Timaru. — Martha Baird, lunacy, has returned to her home at Timaru. (See Police Gazette, 1905, page 45.)
Tapanui. Daniel Montgomery, wife-desertion, has been arrested by Acting-Detective J. A. Raynes, Napier police, on information supplied by Constable J. Cowan, Tapanui police. He was going under the name of Thomas Montgomery. (See Police Gazette, 1904, page 188.)
Gore.— William Browder, failing to make provision for his unborn illegitimate child, has been arrested by Constable J. C. Griffiths, Carterton police, and remanded. (See Police Gazette, 1905, page 134.) He was going under the name of William Burns.
Invercargill. — Roderick McGregor, failing to provide for the maintenance of his unborn illegitimate child : warrant cancelled. (See Police Gazette, 1904, page 180.)
Sydney. J. D. Mushet, deserting from H.M.S. “ Mutine,” has surrendered to the police at Hobart. (See Police Gazette, 1905, page 5, and Tasmanian Police Gazette, 1905, page 71.)
