MISSING.
Pahiatua. —Since 16th ultimo, ANTHONY JOHN BARNARD, age thirty-nine, height 5 ft. 84 in., a farmer, native of Christchurch, New Zealand, fair complexion, light-brown
hair, sandy moustache only, thin build, scar on throat, melancholy expression; usually dressed in dark clothes and black-silk handkerchief around neck. He suddenly left his home on above date, and two days later wrote to his wife from Wellington, telling her to sell t the farm as he was not going to return. His wife fears he is not in his right mind, and may attempt to do away with himself.
Masterton. —Since 4th February last, LILY DOUGHTY (maiden name, Lily Hurst), age twenty-one, height 5 ft. 5 in., native of Christchurch, pale complexion, thin features, prominent nose, dark-brown hair, wears ear-riDgs; usually dressed in dark clothes. She went to Christchurch in February last and wired her husband from there that she had arrived safely. Since then no trace of her can be found. Inquiry by her husband, Rupert Doughty, Masterton.
Wellington. —Since 6th instant, HAROLD BLANKSBY, age nineteen, height about 5 ft. 9 in., a clerk, native of Australia, medium build, fresh complexion, brown hair, heavy lower jaw ; may be dressed in blue-serge or grey-tweed suit and white-straw hat or cap. He is accompanied by Archibald Ewart, age nineteen, height sft. 11 in., a carpenter, dark complexion, black hair, brown eyes, prominent jaw; and Leon Stevenson, age eighteen, height sft. 11 in., a carpenter, thin build, dark complexion, hair and eyes, and possibly wearing small dark moustache. They arrived at Wellington from Sydney on sth instant, and may be going under assumed names. Inquiry by Mr. Blanksby, Clifton House, Willis Street, Wellington, who is anxious that his son should return to his home in Sydney. If located, information to be sent to the Inspector’s office, Wellington.
