Sergeant N. Millar, No. 335, Gore police, has been awarded 10s. by the Customs Department for services in connection with the conviction of J. S. Neave for breach of the Beer Duty Act. (05/60.)
Constable A. E. Andrews, No. 1033, has been awarded £1 10s. by the Customs Department for services in connection with the conviction of Wong Tong, at Wellington, for being found in possession of opium. (05/60.)
Constable W. H. McAnerin, No. 364, Otaki police, has been awarded £1 10s. by the Customs Department for services in connection with the conviction of Poi Lee and Quong Hing for being found in possession of opium. (05/60.)
Constable W. A. Matthews, No. 744, has been awarded £4, and Constables D. M. Mackenzie, No. 756, and T. J. Ross, No. 1115, 10s. each, for services in connection with the conviction of P. S. Knipe for sly-grog selling at Balclutha. (05/476.)
