Auckland. —15th ultimo, from the bedroom of ANNIE BINES, waitress, Sonoma Boardinghouse, Alfred Street, a gold-nugget brooch, weight about 6 dwt. ; a gold brooch, shape of two ivy-leaves, with small ruby at end of each leaf; a gold brooch, shape of two hearts, with ivy-leaves and truelover’s knot on top, one heart set with small diamond, the other with small ruby; a gold breast-pin, with small gold chain and wishing-bone trinket attached; a gold breastpin, with small gold chain and greenstone heart attached: value, £6. Eden Terrace (Auckland). —19th or 20th ultimo, from the factory of GEORGE ALEXANDER COLES AND CO., boot-manufacturers, three pairs of men’s tan glazed kid boots, “ 1475 ” stamped on lining, s : zes 7 and 8; six pairs of ladies’ glazed-kid Balmorals, “ 414 ” stamped on lining, “ Patriata ” stamped on sole, sizes 3 and 5; a pair of ladies’ glazed button boots, “462” stamped on lining, “ G.A.C. ” in monogram on sole; a pair of gentlemen’s tan boots : total value, £6 10s. 3d. Identifiable. Suspicion attached to a man, name unknown, who sold a pair of the stolen boots to a second-hand dealer. Description : Age about twenty, height about 5 ft. 5 in. or 6 in., clean-shaved, fair hair, fair complexion ; dressed in brown suit, soft shirt, white-straw hat, and black boots.

Hamilton.— 9th ultimo, from the bedroom of JOHN SMITH, groom, Hamilton, a gun-metal electro-plated Swiss stop-watch, side action, second hand missing, value £2 10s.; also, a threepenny piece, a sixpence, and a shilling. Suspicion attached to Charles Hansen, age about twenty-six years, height about 5 ft. 9in., a labourer, medium build, fair hair and complexion, small fair moustache ; dressed in old dark-grey sac suit and dark-tweed skull-cap.

Napier. —l6th ultimo, from the bedroom of WILLIAM ROBERT WOOD, a ladies’ plain gold ring, “W.R.” and “ W.R.L.” on inside ; a gentlemen’s silver open-faced watch, No. 14722, with E. or T. Telford, Newhaven, engraved on inside case ; a ladies’ silver watch-chain, made of four small chains knotted together ; total value, £3 17s. Identifiable, except watch-chain.

Manaia. —lßth ultimo, from the Manaia Hotel stables, the proporty of GEORGE WILLIAM HAKES, se’tler, Spreydon, a nearly new fawn-coloured covert coat, “Valentine, Christchurch,” on tab ; value, £4. Identifiable.

Mangawai. —Between the 4th and 10th ultimo, from the dwelling of EDMUND EWART, school teacher, Kaiwaka, a dark-green leather handkerchief-case, lined inside with green satin ; value, 12s. Identifiable.

Ashhurst. —17th December last, from a railway-carriage, between Palmerston North and New Plymouth, the property of THOMAS SINCLAIR, farmer, Pohangina, a darkbrown or chocolate coloured nearly new overcoat, darkvelvet collar, brown lining with small white bars running through it; value, £3 10s. Identifiable.

Johnsonville. —2lst or 22nd ultimo, from the paddock of PRANK BAKER, butcher, a roan mare, four years old, 14 hands lin. high, two warts on top of near ear, wind-galls on fetlocks ; value, £l6. Identifiable.

Wellington. —Between the Bth and 16th ultimo, from the bedroom of GEORGE ALEXANDER ALLEN, No. 5, Wellington Terrace, a ladies’ open-faced gold English lever watch, No. 218 ; a ladies’ gold curb muff chain, with Kruger halfsovereign attached; a ladies’ gold ring, set with diamonds; a ladies’ gold half hoop ring, set with diamonds and rubies, a diamond missing : total value, £4O. Identifiable. Diamond ring has been recovered. Suspicion attached to John Willis (name supposed fictitious), age about twenty-four, height 5 ft. 6 in., has the appearance of a spieler, supposed native of Australia, fresh complexion, high cheek-bones, clean-shaved, brown hair, slight build; dark suit and Panama hat; was wearing a Rugby-pattern gold chain. On the 14th ultimo suspect pledged the diamond ring at Zachariah’s pawn-office for £3 10s. Suspicion also attached to a man named Anderson, at present performing at Puller’s. He leaves for Christchurch in about ten days to fulfil an engagement there, and may join Willis and dispose of the remainder of the property.

Blenheim. —About 19th ultimo, from the farm of THOMAS EDWARD FAIRHALL, sixty-five cross-bred ewes, various ages, branded with red anchor, slit in right ear and notch on top of left ear. There may be a few lambs with similar brand and extra notch on tip of left ear. Value, £4O. Identifiable.

Christchurch.— 3rd ultimo, from the dwelling of DANIEL LINDON, nurseryman, Pendalton, a black cash-box with yellow rims, containing two £5 notes, twenty £1 notes, numbers unknown, £l7 in sovereigns and half-sovereigns, and about £5 in silver. Suspicion attached to David Bradley and Alexander Baird. Descriptions: First, age eighteen, height sft. 9 in., labourer, colonial, fresh complexion, dark hair, grey eyes, medium nose ; dressed in dark-tweed suit and dark cap. Second, age twenty-seven years, height 5 ft. 4 in., labourer, colonial, stout build, clean-shaved; dressed in dark suit and cap.

Christchurch.— 26th ultimo, from the dwelling of DR. LESLIE SAMUEL MANNING, Cambridge Terrace, eight sovereigns, four half-sovereigns, and some silver; a silvermounted lens, 2 in. in diameter ; a ladies’ 18 carat gold ring, set with sapphires and diamonds; a chased silver anchorshaped pendant; a gold-mounted greenstone cross, with gold heart and emblem of Faith, Hope, and charity in centre ; a gold single-bar brooch, sot with a large diamond in centre, with five small diamonds on scroll on each side: value, £27. Breaking and entering by window.
