PROPERTY RECOVERED.
Palmerson North. —PETER SCHEIDT’S watch has been recovered by the Auckland police, and Thomas O’Connor (who is now undergoing a sentence for vagrancy) charged with the offence by Acting-Detective T. DeNorville, Palmerston North police, and sentenced to six months’ labour. (See Police Gazette , 1903, page 317.)
Wellington. ROBERT ANDREW GIBSON’S watch has been recovered by Acting-Detective T. Kemp, Mount Cook police, and John Edward Lister, a ias Ramsay, arrested for the offence. (See Police Gazette, 1904, page 273.)
Greymouth. JAMES BRIMBLE’S watch has been recovered by Constable F. W. O’Connell, Christchurch police, on information supplied by Detective J. Cooney, and traced to the possession of Thomas Edward Dowdle, who is now undergoing a sentence of nine months in Lyttelton Gaol for several similar offences. (See Police Gazette, 1904, page 15.)
Denniston. —MARY NEWSOME has recovered the property stolen and John Ryan arrested for the offence by Constables E. Trehey and J. McDonnell, Denniston and Westport police. (See Police Gazette, 1904, page 273.)
