APPREHENSIONS AND PERSONS FOUND.

Auckland. —Thomas Albert, alias Tony Arapata, theft from Here Makoare, has been arrested by Detective H. P. Kennedy, Auckland police, on information supplied by Acting-Detective J. W. Hollis. (See Police Gazette, 1904, page 237.)

Napier. — Oscar Henry McKechnie, default of maintenance, has been arrested by Constable J. McClinchy, Thames police. (See Police Gazette, 1904, page 267.)

Wanganui. — John Hall, default of fine and costs, has been arrested by Constable C. H. Pratt, Spit police, and lodged in Napier Gaol. (See Police Gazette, 1901, page 223.)

Palmerston North. Charles Connin, theft from George Edward Leeson, has been arrested by Constable P. A. De Loree, Palmerston North police, and sentenced to three months’ hard labour. Wellington.— William Cotter, disobeying maintenance order, has been arrested by Constables Pitzgibbon and McDonald, Palmerston North police. (See Police Gazette, 1904, page 241.)

Christchurch. John Smith Watson, theft of bicycle from Henry John Horne : Warrant cancelled, as

offender has been sentenced to three years labour on five charges of theft at Auckland. The bicycle was recovered and traced to the possession of offender by Detective P. S. Cox, Christchurch police. (See Police Gazette, 1094, page 146.)

Dunedin.— John Morrell, disobeying maintenance order, has been arrested by Constable J. Bourke, Christchurch police, and lodged iu Lyttelton Gaol. (See Police Gazette, 1904, page 146.)

Cromwell.— James McGeorge, wife desertion, has been arrested by Chief Detective P. Herbert, Dunedin police, and charge withdrawn. (See Police Gazette, 1904, page 268.)

Sydney. Maude or Margaret Woods, obarged on warrant with the murder of her infant child at Waterloo, in November, 1903, has been arrested by Detective Sergeant O’Donnell and Detective Carey, Melbourne police, on information supplied by Senior-constable Allen and Constables Spring and Gallaher, Sydney police.
