Napier. —3oth ultimo, from JOHN HILL, labourer, Hastings, a red-morocco purse containing two orders on Messrs. Murray, Roberts, and Co., Wellington, payable to complainant, one for £l4 and one for £7, drawn by Handyside, Roberts, and Co., Akiteo Station. Theft from the person.

Identifiable. Suspicion attached to Alfred Cook, age about twenty-six, height about 5 ft. 8 in., labourer, supposed colonial, stout build, fair complexion, large mouth, very small fair moustache. May be found wearing stolen clothing.

Phillipstown. —lsth or 16th instant, from the shop of THOMAS RICHARD MOSES, bootmaker, a pair of men’s glazed kid balmoral boots, size 6; a pair of men’s riveted button balmoral boots, size 7 ; a pair of woman’s glazed-kid boots, size 4 ; a pair of woman’s chrome laced shoes, size 5 ; a pair of woman’s slipper shoes, size 4 ; and a quantity of leather and cotton laces : value, £5 Bs. 6d.
