Deserters from His Majesty’s Service.
From H.M.S. “ Archer," at Auckland. On 2nd April, 1903. Oscar Burgess, private, R.M.L.1., twenty-two years of age, a native of England, 5 ft. 7Jin. high, dark-brown hair, blue eyes, fresh complexion, faint scar down lower part of cheek, several small moles on left cheek, two small scars on back of left hand, one down inside of thumb, 0.8. tattooed on right forearm. A reward of £3 will he paid for his apprehension.
From H.M.S “ Mildura,” at Sydney. On 3rd April, 1903. John W. Stringfellow, stoker, twenty-seven years of age, a native of England, 5 ft. 6 in. high, dark-brown hair, brown eyes, fresh complexion. Phillip Page, stoker, twenty-three years of age, a native of England, 5 ft. 4 in. high, brown hair, blue eyes, fresh complexion.

William Charles Burgess, deserter from H.M.S. “Archer,” has been arrested by Constable J. J. Harvey, Christchurch police.
