Deserting Wives and Families, &c.
Auckland.— Ethel Trim is charged on warrant with failing to provide for the maintenance of her child. Description : A native of New Zealand, twenty-five years of age, 5 ft. 4 in. high, medium build, light-brown hair, brown eyes, fresh complexion, good-looking. She was living with a Mrs. Radford in Hobson Street, and left her child unprovided-for. She may seek service in the country.
Napier. — Richard Valentine Radford is charged on warrant with deserting his wife, Mildred Radford, on the 2nd instant. Description: A native of New Zealand, painter and cook, twenty-three years of age, about 5 ft. 9 in. high, medium build, pale fair complexion, fair hair, very slight fair moustache, stoops slightly when walking ; nude female tattooed on one arm, flag moon and star near the shoulder ; dressed in black-cloth coat and vest, grey trousers with black stripes apart, a green-striped handkerchief round his neck, and shabby black hard hat. He has been employed as steward or sculleryman on boats, and may seek similar employment.

Blenheim. Cyrus Webb, charged with disobeying an order of Court for the support of his illegitimate child, has been arrested by Constable L. Cookery, at Grey mouth. Arrears paid.
Nelson. —Francis McGormack is charged on warrant with failing to provide for the maintenance of his unborn illegitimate child. Description: A native of New Zealand, butcher, twenty-one years of age, about 5 ft. 6 in. high, medium build, fair complexion, dark hair, blue eyes ; dressed in grey sac suit and white-straw hat; has a large mole on left cheek; wears a gold chain and a large gold ring set with a red stone. He left Nelson on the 28th ultimo, accompanied by a young man named Kirk. Complainant, Grace Walker, Nile Street.
Christchurch. — Alexander Capill is charged on warrant with disobeying an order of Court to pay £1 10s. a week towards the support of his wife and children. Description : A native of New Zealand, carpenter and wheelwright, fortyfive years of age, 5 ft. 7§ in. high, sandy complexion, fair hair, grey eyes. (See Police Gazette, 1903, page 32.) There is now due up to the 17th ultimo the sum of £B2 19s.
Christchurch. —David McKeown is charged on warrant with disobeying an order of Court to pay 7s. 6d. a week towards the maintenance of his wife. Description: A native of Ireland, carter and labourer, forty-eight years of age, 5 ft. 6Jin. high, sandy complexion, brown hair, blue eyes. (See Police Gazette, 1902, page 298.) There is now due up to the 24th February last £2 Bs. 6d.
Timaru. — John Mclnnes is charged on warrant with disobeying an order of Court to pay £1 a week towards the maintenance of his children. Description : A native of Scotland, carpenter, about fifty years of age, about 5 ft. 7 in. high, stout build, dark eyes, sallow complexion, dark hair turning grey, dark moustache, cheeks and chin usually shaved; dressed in dark tweed. He left Oamaru for Dunedin ou the 24th February last. He is now £lO in arrears

Temuka. —James Counihan is charged on warrant with disobeying an order of Court to pay 10s. a week towards
the support of his children. Description: A native of Ireland, a labourer, twenty-nine years of age, about 5 ft. 8 in. high, medium build, fresh complexion, dark hair, blue eyes, clean-shaved except dark moustache. Was last seen in Stratford, Taranaki, about February last.

Dunedin. —Robert Oliver, charged with default of maintenance, has been arrested by Constable A. Christie, Waimate police.
