Deserting Wives and Families, &c.
Pahiatua. — William Thomas Lawry is charged on warrant with deserting his wife, Susannah Lawry, since the 25th May last. Description : Colonial, labourer, thirty-six years of age, 5 ft. 7 in. high, medium build, dark complexion, dark hair, dark - brown beard whiskers and moustache, will probably shave off his beard and whiskers, two upper front teeth out, top off third finger of left hand ; may be dressed in navy-blue suit and soft felt hat. Supposed gone to Palmerston North district, and may attempt to leave the colony.

Ashburton. —Percy Eden, charged with default of maintenance, has been arrested by Constable C. J. Moore, Ashburton police, and admitted to bail.

Dunedin. —John Dix, charged with disobeying an order of Court for the support of his wife, has been arrested by Constable J. Sweeney, Dunedin police, and lodged in Dunedin Gaol.
