Horse- and Cattle-stealing.
Mount Roskill Road (Auckland).— Emma Littlewood reports supposed stolen from a paddock, about the 6th August last, a cream pony gelding, about 14 hands high, aged, no brands, white blaze down forehead, hollow back, long hair, shod all round ; value, £lO. Identifiable.

Kihikihi. —Wipaia, a Native cattle-dealer, reports stolen from bis farm at Puniu, between the Ist and 31st July last, a bay hack and harness gelding, aged, 15 hands high, white star on forehead, white on tip of nose, branded H.O.P. in large letters on shoulder; value, £l2. Identifiable. Suspicion attached to Natives, who may have taken the horse to Cambridge.
Te Puke.— Whare Pohui reports stolen from his farm at Ngapihi, between the end of August last and the 14th ultimo, a red-and-white spotted heifer, about two years old, branded on rump T. 0., top off left ear; also a dark-red heifer, two years old, same brand, no ear-mark: value, £6. Identifiable.
Gisborne. —William Currie, hotelkeeper, reports stolen from his paddock at Makaraka, about the 30th June last, a light harness bay gelding, small star in forehead, branded XX on near shoulder; supposed to have been ridden to Opotiki and disposed of there ; value, £ls. Identifiable.
Dunedin. —Thomas Richards, dairyman, reports stolen on or about the 15th August last, a black-and-white cow, four years old, white horns, slit in left ear; was due to calve on the 20th August last: value, £7. Identifiable.
