Auckland.— Joseph Figueroa is charged on warrant with failing to provide for the maintenance of his illegitimate child. Description: A native of South America, a seaman, thirty years of age, 5 ft. 10 in. high, dark complexion, black hair, clean-shaved except moustache. Complainant: Eliza Briggs, Pitt Terrace.

Supposed gone to Feilding, and is well known to the Salvation Army officers there. The sum of £3 9s. was in arrears on the 13th November, 1900.

Christchukch. Ernest Townsend is charged on I warrant with failing to provide for the future maintenance | of his unborn illegitimate child. Description : A colonial, a carpenter, nineteen years of age, 5 ft. 6 in. or 7 in. high, dark complexion and hair, dark-brown eyes, clean-shaved; usually dressed in dark suit, and white-straw hat with black band. He left Lyttelton on the 7th ultimo for Sydney by the s.s. “ Waikare.” Complainant: Alice Elizabeth Offwood, 59, Stewart Street.

Christchurch. — Arthur Wilson is charged on warrant with failing to provide for the future maintenance of his unborn illegitimate child. Description: Colonial, booksellers’ salesman, about twenty-two years of age, about 5 ft. 9 in. high, rather stout build, clear complexion, black hair, brown eyes, clean-shaved except small black moustache, one tooth missing but not noticeable, erect gait; dressed in grey sac or dark-blue suit, with straw or hard-felt hat. His parents reside in Napier, and he was last seen there in June, 1900, and is now supposed to be in Queensland.

Christchurch. — John Walker is charged on warrant with disobeying an order of the Court to pay 10s. a week towards the support of his wife. Description: A native of New Zealand, a labourer, twenty-five years of age, 5 ft. 5 in. high, fair complexion, red hair, blue eyes. (See Police Gazette, 1899, page 140.) The sum of £4 was in arrears on. the 25th August last. He is said to have gone to Wellington.

Palmerston North. — James Harden is charged on warrant with failing to provide for the future maintenance of his unborn illegitimate child. Description: Supposed colonial, a jockey, between twenty-four and twentyeight years of age, about 5 ft. 5 in. high, about 8 stone weight, small features, blue eyes, dark-brown hair. Supposed to have left Wellington for Sydney about the Ist December last.
