Missing Friends.
Kniep. —lnformation is requested concerning John Kniep, a carpenter, about thirty-three years of age, tall, fair, had a moustache. Supposed to be travelling through New Zealand as attendant to a gentleman. Inquiry is at the request of his wife, Frances Kniep, care of Mrs. Mason, 98, Sutherland Street, Armadale, Melbourne.

George Harper is inquired for by the Christchurch police with the view of proceeding against him for the recovery of £147 12s. due for the maintenance of his child in the Burnham Industrial School. Description : A native of the north of Ireland, a gardener, forty-seven years of age, 5 ft. in. high, stout build, fresh complexion, fair wavy hair, blue eyes, large nose. John Gilbert, also known as John James Gilbert, is inquired for by the Christchurch police with the view of enforcing payment of £77 ss. due for the maintenance of his two children in the Burnham Industrial School. Description : A native of Guernsey, a tailor, fifty-six years of age, 5 ft. 7 in. high, fresh complexion, dark brown hair, dark-grey eyes, sharp-pointed nose.
C) Patrick Russell Leahy is missing from his home at North since the 19th ultimo. Description : A Maori, a shearer, fifty years of age, 5 ft. 10 in. high, yfclender build, dark complexion, dark hair turning fj jgyeff, stooped shoulders, moustache only ; wore a grey-tweed yand straw hat. He had £lO with him, and may have gone* to Sydney.
