Discharges on Compensation. Constable David Lyster, No. 2. Constable Patrick O’Farrell, No. 236.

Rewards

The following amounts have been awarded from the Reward Fund in recognition of special services in raiding a gambling-house at New Plymouth: Constable J. Gantlv, No. 479, Wellington Police, £4; and Constables C. W. Hendrey, No. 300, W. H. McAnerin, No. 364, and W. H. Ryan, No. 100, Taranaki District Police, £2 each. Frederick Charles Jury, the keeper of the house, has been fined £SO, and of the inmates two were fined £5 each, and five £1 each. (96/118.) Constable John Burrows, No. 497, Invercargill Police, has been awarded £5 in recognition of his services in obtaining convictions for sly grog-selling at Cromarty. (96/80).
