Auckland. —David Miller, plumber, reports stolen from the Volunteer Drill-shed, during the past three months, a naval volunteer officers’ uniform, consisting of cap, size 6s, having black instead of regulation buttons, a tunic with two rows of gold braid on sleeves, black-enamelled belts with gold-mountings and gold-plated buckles ; a navy regulation sword, sheath worn by trailing on the ground ; and a duncoloured belt-case: value, £2O.

Pukekohe. —Samuel Crawford, Puni, reports that about the Ist ultimo his shop at Purapura was broken into, and the following stolen: A coil of lin. manila rope, eight men’s black-felt hats, a quantity of tinned meat and fish, ten black-and-white handkerchiefs, horseshoe in corner of each, used as mufflers, three coloured silk handkerchiefs, four men’s blue-serge jumpers, four guernsey drawers, four guernsey shirts, three pairs of men’s blucher boots, six pairs of men’s watertight boots, size 8, and three pairs of women’s elasticside boots; value, £l9 18s.

Napier. —William O’Riley, Taradale, reports stolen from off his horse, in Napier, on the 30th March, last, an English saddle, pair of yellow-web girths, nickel silver stirrups, breastplate, and bridle with double reins sewn on to rings of the bits ; value, £6.

Marton. Robert Heard, of Wanganui, reports stolen from the Marton Hotel stables, during the night of the 19th ultimo, a set of single-trace harness, rather short, silverplated buckles; hames hand-sewn, and fasten by a slit: value, £B.

Wellington. Meston Brothers, grocers, Wordsworth Street, report stolen from a stable, on the 22nd or 23rd ultimo, 100 sacks, marked RT and DV; value, £1 10s.

Christchurch. —John Dunham, bootmaker, Colombo Street, reports that on the 18th or 19th ultimo his shop was broken into, and the following stolen: A pair of men’s

blucher boots, size 8 ; a pair of youth’s watertights, size 7 ; a pair of men’s fancy Balmorals, with punched toe-caps; four pairs of women’s prunella slippers, a pair of fancy leather uppers, and some laces : value, £8 2s.

Fairlie. —Augustus Warner reports stolen from a tent on the Fairlie Racecourse, on the 15th ultimo, a gentlemen’s English silver lever double-cased watch, maker and number unknown, AW on inside of front case; and a silver chain, short links, with bars : value £6. Complainant’s address is, Care of Mr. D. Stewart, Albury.

Dunedin. —John Richard Jones, Queen Street, reports stolen from a clothes-line, on the 22nd or 23rd ultimo, three night-dresses, marked MRJ; a gentlemen’s night-shirt, four pairs of ladies’ drawers (two marked MRJ, and two E. A Stewart), five pairs of ladies’ combinations, six pillowcases, three sheets, four pairs of socks, marked X in silk; four pairs of stockings, two white blouses, and a tablecloth : value, £5.
