Arson.
Gisborne. —At G. 30 a.m. on the lGtli ultimo an attempt was made to destroy the building known as Porter’s Hall, it having been set oil fire in two separate places under the flooring. The flames were, however, extinguished before much damage was done. The premises are owned by Mr. J. N. Williams, of Napier, and were occupied by Messrs. Williams and Kettle, of Gisborne.
