Pleece. —lnformation is requested concerning James and Frank Pleece, of New Maldon, Surrey, England, who left Plymouth in April, 1874, by the “ Hindostan,” and landed in Dunedin, but have not been heard of since. They are described as labourers, ages about thirty-seven and thirty-six respectively, fair, blue eyes, rather thin. Inquired for by Charles Pleece, builder, No. 4, Beaconsfield Villas, New Maldon, through the Inspector of Police, Dunedin.

Phcebe Evans, wife of William Evans, stoker, Gordon Street, South Dunedin, is missing from her home since the 29th ultimo. Description: English, forty-three years of age, sft. 3in. high, very thin, slender build, black hair, pale complexion. Was for some time an inmate of the Seacliff Lunatic Asylum, and has lately been in a very despondent state of mind.

Holland. —lnformation is requested concerning Thomas Holland, formerly of Charles Street, Walworth Common, Surrey, England. He is described as a farmer in this colony, tall, dark-brown hair, fresh complexion, dark eyes, married, age about thirty when leaving England, which is stated to be on the sth April, 1830, but the year given is probably incorrect. Last heard of in 1870, at 3, Allen Street, New Zealand (town not stated). Inquired for by Caroline Isabella Nayler, late Holland, and Ellen Aburn, late Holland, of 24, Viceroy Road, South Lambeth, London. (94/1814.)

Bulman. —Information is requested concerning William Bulman, who left England in June, 1874, to fill a situation with a clergyman in this colony (place not stated). He is described as a farm-servant, now about forty-seven years of age, about sft. 7in. high, fair complexion, darkbrown hair; was born at Carlisle, Cumberland, and resided at Cockermouth before leaving Home. Description: Supposed colonial (Irish parentage), a labourer, forty-two years of age, sft. lOin. high, smart appearance, wiry build, palish complexion, light-brown hair, grey eyes, straight nose, shaved except short moustache; neither drinks nor smokes. He left Patea on the 10th September, 1894, and on the 19th of the following month his horse was seen in Wanganui, ridden by a man unknown, who is described as a,bout thirty years of age, dark complexion, dark moustache only.

John Hamill is inquired for by his father through the Hastings Description : A native of County Antrim, Ireland, a labourer, thirty-four years of age, about sft. lOin. high, slender build, longish face, black hair. Was attendant at the Wellington Lunatic Asylum about twelve years ago.
