Deserting Wives and Families, &c.
Christchurch. —Anthony Kennedy, alias John Kennedy, is charged on warrant to apprehend with deserting his five children since the 15th July, 1892. Description: Irish, a carpenter, forty years of age, sft. lOin. high, medium build, fair complexion, blue eyes, light-brown hair beard whiskers and moustache. (See Police Gazette, 1892, pages 139, 147, and! 189.) Last heard of in February, 1893, when he was discharged from Wellington Gaol, after serving three months’ imprisonment. Complainant: Lily Kennedy, Colombo Boad, St. Albans, Christchurch.
Christchurch. — John Daniel Manship is charged on warrant with deserting his wife and four children since the 26th ultimo. Description : English, a drover or labourer, thirty-three years of age, sft. 6fin. high, fair complexion, fair hair, grey eyes. Photographed at Lyttelton, the 31st October, 1894. (See Police Gazette, 1894, page 186.) Complainant: Edith Manship, c/o Mrs. Hamilton, Halswell, Christohurcli. •

Wellington. —William Barrow, charged with disobeying an order for the support of his wife : This warrant has been cancelled.

Mosgiel. —William Johnston, charged with refusing to support his illegitimate child by Mary Alice Jones, has been arrested by Constable T. Griffith, Mosgiei.

New Plymouth. —Thomas Stewart, charged with disobeying an order for the support of his illegitimate child by Annie Hooker, has been arrested by Constable T. Hickman, Pungarehu police, and sent to New Plymouth Gaol.
