Appointment as Constable. Alfred Ernest Rowell, No. 654.
lien; ards. Constable T. Quirke, No. 627, Auckland police, has been awarded £3 by Messrs. Parker, Green, and Co., in recognition of his services in arresting Patrick Loughran, sentenced to four years’ labour for breaking into and stealing from their premises. (94/1369.) Constable J. Forster, No. 619, Wellington police, has been awarded £2 from the Reward Fund for promptness and energy displayed in extinguishing a fire at Lambton Quay Station on the 24th ultimo. (94/1380.) Sergeant S. C. W. Moller, No. 33, Ashburton police, has been awarded £3 for obtaining a conviction against Philip Crum for selling liquor without a license. (94/1389.)
