Deserting Wives and Families, &c.
Wanganui. —Henry Davy is charged on warrant with having deserted his wife, Emily, since about the end of March, 1894. Description : Colonial, forty-one years of age, sft. lOin. or llin. high, dark-brown hair (turning grey), heavy dark-brown moustache only, brown eyes, largo cars, medium build, broad shoulders, E.G.A. tattooed on one wrist, stoops slightly when walking, follows the occupation of a surveyors’ chainman; dressed, when last seen, in a dark coat, grey trousers, and soft brown-felt hat.

Dunedin. —Thomas Sullivan, charged with disobeying an order for his wife’s support, has been arrested by Constable P. Drury, Ashburton Police, and sent to Dunedin.
Invercargill. George Burford is charged on warrant with failing to provide for his wife since the 20th February last. Description : Colonial, a blacksmith and farrier, about twenty-eight years of age, sft. 9in. high, medium build, fair complexion, very small fair moustache only, scar about an inch long on throat, very short thick hands, quick walk ; fond of cigarettes and billiards; usually wears a light-tweed coat, dark-tweed trousers and vest, dark-felt hat or darkcloth peaked cap; carries a large portmanteau with his name thereon, and containing horse-medicine. Supposed to be accompanied by a young girl named Kate Labert, and was heard of at Mornington, Dunedin, on the 16th ultimo. Photograph at Dunedin Station.
