Auckland. —John Robertson, City Slaughteryards, reports stolen from off his horse in Rutland Street, on the 28th ultimo, an English hogskin saddle, well worn, old stirrupleathers, nickel-silver irons, and web girth ; value £3.

Wellington. —George McLean, John Lindsay, and others report stolen from the Catholic school-building, at Newtown, between the Bth and 10th instant, a plane 22in. long,

piece off top of the handle; two Bin. smoothing-planes (one branded “J. Lindsay ”), a tenon-saw, branded “D. McLean,” draw-knife, new brace, lin. chisel, screw-driver, square, two claw-hammers (one marked AR), two tackhammers, two hacking-knives, a putty-lcnife, varnish-brush, case of graining-combs, chisel-knife, screw-wrench, stoppingknife, painters’ apron, two duster-brushes, and a badgers’ hair-brush; value £4 10s.

Greytown North. —F. H. Wood reports stolen off his horse, on the 30th or 31st ultimo, a canvas cover, with three leather straps and red-and-white-web surcingle; value 15s. Identifiable.

Manaia. —Denis Carroll, Otakeho, reports stolen from his wagon on the Glenn Road, on the 3rd or 4th instant, a case containing two large cheeses, marked on one end in a circle “ 1261 b. Crown Factory, Full Cream Cheese, New Zealand. O.T. ” ; value about £2.

New Plymouth. —William McKeever, Bell Block, reports stolen from a box left on the beach, between the 27th and 31st ultimo, three sledge-hammers (one double-faced), two boilermakers’ ditto, all marked OIC on handles ; four or five steel sets for cutting bolts, same mark on heads; two hauling-chains, 10ft. and 4ft. respectively ; an old shovel and spade ; value £4 to £5.

Napier. —Alexander Mclntrye reports stolen from his coach in the Star Hotel-yard, on the 31st ultimo or Ist instant, a light-brown waterproof-coat with cape, full size, nearly new, green mark, about the size of a penny, near the bottom corner on left side; value £3 10s.

Wanganui. —James Low reports stolen from his horse in Victoria Avenue, on the 9th instant, a double-reined bridle, silver bit, bridoon, and buckles, nearly new; value £2.

Christchurch. —Theopilus Wake, insurance agent, 167, Durham Street, reports stolen from a perambulator at Riccarton, on the 21st ultimo, a green crochet handbag, about 12in. by 6in., red reefing-string at top, containing two cambric handkerchiefs, marked “T. Wake,” a leather watchbag for placing on a belt, and about 45.; total value 14s. Suspicion attached to a Mrs. Crabtree, who has gone to Wellington, and keeps a greengrocers’ shop there.

Christchurch. —Norman Strange, at Sargood, Son, and Ewen’s, Lichfield Street, reports stolen from outside the firm’s premises, on the 13th instant, a “ Rover ” bicycle, “ Carbine ” printed on cross-stay, latest pattern, enamelled back, round cranks, l£in. cushion-tyres, ball-head, “ International ” saddle, bent handle-bar, rubber-ball pedals, right handle loose and horn slightly split; value £lB.

Ngapara (Oamaru). William S. Yeoman, Livingstone, reports stolen from the Tokerahi Railway-station, between the 20th and 30th January last, a coil of No. 8 fencing-wire, and forty sft. iron standards, six holes in each; value £1 13s.

Oamaru. —Alfred Avery, painter, reports stolen from his workshop off Thames Street, between the 26th ultimo and Bth instant, a silver lever hunting-watch, about half-worn, No. 7603, maker R. H. Cathcart, Oamaru, heavy brass albert, curb links attached; value £4.

Dunedin. William Whittingham Bagley, care of John Edmond, ironmonger, reports that, on the 4th, he left in the luggage-room at the Dunedin Railway-station a glad-stone-bag, the check-ticket for which he lost. Later on the same day the ticket was presented by some person unknown, who obtaned the bag, which has since been found near the rifle-range broken open and the following articles abstracted —namely, a pair of light-coloured-tweed trousers with narrow dark stripes, not much worn; a dark-grey-check tweed sac-suit, four white-linen shirts, eight linen collars, two pairs of dark-merino socks, seven white-linen handkerchiefs, three silk ditto (two coloured, one white), two travellers’ manifestbooks, a sleeping-suit with pink stripes, a Mack waterproofcoat with cape, and a brown chester-coat; value about £l4.

Clinton. —James Johnston reports stolen from the Waiwera Railway-station, between the 28th ultimo and 6th instant, six hags of oats, branded J; value £2 ss.

Invercargill. —James McMaster, butcher, Bimu, reports stolen from a stable, on the 6th or 7th instant, a large colo-nial-made saddle, half-lined with leather, large knee-pads (one torn), stirrup-irons round and rusty, leathers nearly new, and have holes cut in them with a knife.
