Auckland. Herbert Brown, Arthur’s auction-mart, reports stolen from the dressing-room of the Auckland Rowing Club’s shed, on the 12th or 13th instant, a silver Waltham double-cased watch, number unknown, dent on back of case, fluted knob, keyless appearance ; value £2 10s. Suspicion attached to Thomas Atkinson Heaps, now in custody for stealing from the same premises.
Auckland. —Miss A. S. Dickey, City Road, reports stolen from the grand-stand, Ellerslie Racecourse, on the 9th instant, a small light-brown morocco-leather reticule, complainant’s name in ink inside, containing two embroidered handkerchiefs and two or three threepenny-bits; value 7s. 6d.
Gisborne. —Robert E. Stevens, Waimata, reports stolen from Little’s stables, Lowe Street, Gisborne, on the 3rd instant, two sheep-dogs: “ Vick,” black and white, smooth coat, medium size, light tan on the fore legs and inside the hind legs, long tail with white tip, small ears ; “ Clyde,” smooth black coat, one or more feet white up to the first joint, puck-eared, hardy and foxy-looking ; value £2O.

“ Wairarapa,” s.s —George Hyde, 146, Colombo Street, reports stolen from him, during the night of the 21st instant, between and Lyttelton, four £5 and three £1 notes. /Qfi4/u{, ttfly
Christchurch. —Charles Purdie, 343, St. Asaph Street, reports stolen from a building he was erecting in the Papanui Road, between the 22nd and 24th ultimo, eleven housepainters’ brushes, various sizes, had been used in red lead, a putty-knife, and small billy with grey paint on inside ; value £1 10s. Identification doubtful.
Christchurch. —Roland Palairet, Lower Riccarton, repots stolen from his stable, on the 11th or 12th instant, an English pigskin hunting-saddle, large size, lining of white flannel, which has been ripped and repaired with brown thread, nickel flat-bottomed stirrups, single yellow-web girth; and a double-reined bridle, headstall in one piece with only one plated buckle, pelham curb-bit; value £9 10s. Identifiable.
Christchurch. —Henry Hoy, Selwyn Street, Sydenham, reports stolen from off his horse, on the 6tli or 7th instant, a canvas cover, nearly new, lined with flannel ; value £ll2s. 6d.
Christchurch. —Thomas Owens reports stolen from his stables, Cashel Street, on the 12th instant, three horse-collars —viz., two piped, leather facings, a silver buckle on each; the other half-piped, same facings ; in good condition ; value £2 ss. Identifiable.
Christchurch.— William E. Hargreaves reports stolen from his stable, Tuam Street, on the 7th or Bth instant, a gentlemen’s English pigskin saddle, two web girths, whitemetal stirrup-irons, in good condition, value £6 ; a colonialmade pigskin saddle, knee-pads, one web girth with a strap broken on near side, square white-metal stirrup-irons, and a single-reined bridle, white-metal bit, value £4 10s.; a blackleather horse-collar, plated hames and traces to match, value £2 10s.; a brown-leather ditto, value £1; pair of plated spurs, value 10s.; and a body-brush, value ss. Identifiable.

Dunedin. —Re alleged larceny of a bale of sacks from the Heriot Railway-station, the property of W. E. Reynolds and Co.: It is now reported that no offence has been committed.
Dunedin. —The Railway Commissioners report stolen, in transit from Dunedin to Christchurch, between the 12th and 15th instant, three tins of assorted biscuits, labelled “ Hudson and Co; ” value 15s. Part of a consignment of 136 tins.
Dunedin. —The Railway Commissioners report stolen, in transit from Dunedin to Lawrence, between the 16th and 21st instant, two octaves and a 5-gallon jar of Thom and Cameron’s whiskey, the former having bond-marks 878 (L over and 10 under) and 878 (L over and 9 under) respectively; aAase of preserved meats, a case containing twelve l£lb. bags of bird-seed, twelve lib. packages of cocoanuts, and a box of Pick-me-up cigars; value £45. The truck from which the whiskey was taken stood a night at Mosgiel, and the one containing the other articles went direct to Lawrence U3
Riverton. —James Sutherland, storekeeper, Fairfax, reports stolen from his trap, supposed while at Riverton, on the 22nd ultimo, a medium-sized tweed waterproof-coat, brown and white checks about lin. square, nearly new, two flap-pockets with two buttons to each, cape attached ; value £3 10s. Identifiable.
