Identifiable.

Stolen between the 24th and 27th ultimo, from a plea-sure-boat at Shoal Bay, Devonport, Auckland, a small gal-vanised-iron anchor (“ Hingley’s patent”), about 2ft. long and 101 b. weight, no cross-bar ■ value 10s.; the property of Armar Colville. Identifiable. Stolen on the 25th or 26th ultimo, from the Kauri Timber Company’s mill, Hikurangi, near Kamo, Auckland District, a timber-jack, maker Ind, Thames, stock now, “ 121 ” stamped on the iron bar attached ; value £7. Identifiable. Suspicion attached to Hemi Kingi, a half-caste residing in the locality and known to the police.

Stolen on the sth or 6th instant, at Rangiora, Canterbury, two horse-covers, sft. llin. long, surcingles and cruppers buckled on, turned in at breasts, double-stitched, made to order by T. H. Travers, Christchurch, nearly new; value £2; the property of Hugh Henry. Identifiable. Stolen off horses during the night.

Between 5 p.m. on the 25th and 8 a.m. on the 27th ultimo the dwelling of Graham McLeod, at Garibaldi, near Gimmerburn, Otago, was broken into, and the following stolen: A ten-keyed concertina, “ English Concertina ” stamped on straps, value £3, identifiable; and a flask of gunpowder, value 3s. 6d. Boys rabbiting in the neighbourhood suspected.

Between 1 and 7 p.m. on the sth instant the office of the Milburn Lime and Cement Company, Cumberland Street, Dunedin, was broken into, and Is. 4d. stolen. Access gained by breaking a window.

Stolen on the 6th instant, from the shop-counter of Edward Aldred, confectioner, George Street, Dunedin, six brass weights, 21b., lib., Jib., £1b.,20z., and loz. respectively; value 95.. Identifiable.

Stolen on the 24th or 25th ultimo a letter posted at Timaru, addressed to Andrew McFadgen, Sunnydale, Northeast Valley, Dunedin, containing a £5 and £1 note, bank and numbers unknown ; tlio property of John Thompson, fireman, Timaru Milling Company, Timaru.

Stolen on the 27th ultimo, from off a saddle in Little’s stables, Gisborne, a waterproof inverness-cape, dark-grey ribbed tweed, 52in., bottom button torn off and refastened on a piece of brown tweed, and a small tear near the back slit inside ; value £3 55.; the property of John Watts, Patutalii. Identifiable.
