Fixing Sittings of the District Courts of Nelson and

Westland

ONSLOW, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority in this behalf enabling me, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby fix and appoint that sittings of the District Courts of Nelson and Westland, for civil and criminal business, shall be held as follows, from and after the first day of February next, in lieu of those previously fixed and appointed :

Nelson District. In the Courthouse, Nelson, on the 17th February and 3rd April, 1890.

Westland District. In the Courthouse, Westport, on the 26th February and 21st April, 1890. In the Courthouse, Reefton, on the 17th April, 1890. In the Courthouse, Greymouth, on the 9th April, 1890. In the Courthouse, Hokitika, on the 14th April, 1890. Provided that in case any of the days so fixed as aforesaid shall happen to be a holiday, then the Court appointed for that day shall be holden on the first day thereafter not being a holiday.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-first day of January, one thousand eight hundred and ninety.

ONSLOW, Governor.

IN exorcise of the powers vested in me by “ The Animals Protection Act, 1880,” I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby declare that, from and after the date hereof, seagulls of any species shall, within the Provincial District of Auckland, come within the operation of the said Act as fully and effectually as if they had been included in the Fourth Schedule thereto; and I do further notify and declare that the said birds shall not be taken or killed within the said district.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-second day of January, one thousand eight hundred and ninety.

hixing Shooting Season for Deer, License Fee, <&c., Nelson District.

ONSLOW, Governor.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by “ The Animals Protection Act, 1880,” and “ The Animals Protection Act Amendment Act, 1881,” I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby notify that deer (bucks or stags only) may be taken or killed within the Nelson District, consisting of the Counties of Waimea, Buller, and Collingwood, from the fifteenth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and ninety, to the thirty-first day of March, one thousand eight

hundred and ninety, both inclusive (subject, nevertheless, to the restrictions in the said Acts mentioned); and I do further notify that licenses to take or kill such game within the said district shall be issued on payment of the sum of twenty shillings each, and that licenses to sell such game shall be issued on payment of five pounds each ; and the Chief Postmaster at Nelson and the Postmaster at Westport are hereby appointed to issue the said licenses.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this third day of February, one thousand eight hundred and ninety.
