Horse- and Cattle-Stealing.

(See Police Gazette, 1888, page 120.) The horse, the property of James Grant Sutherland, reported stolen from a paddock at Hastings, has been recovered; not stolen.

Between the 18th and 2lst ultimo, at Fraser Road, near Normanby, Taranaki District, two ewes, the property of Messrs. Best Brothers, value 12s. each, were killed, and the carcases carried away.

Supposed stolen on the 14th or 15th ultimo, from a paddock at Gladstone, near Invercargill, a red-and-white cow, three years old, heavy in calf, unbranded; the property of Kenneth Mclvor; value £4. Identifiable.
