Horse- and Cattle-stealing.
(See Police Gazette, 1887, page 42.) The mare, the property of Daniel Kennedy, reported stolen from a paddock at Cabbage-tree Flat, Motonau, has been recovered.
Supposed stolen on the 17th or 18th ultimo, from a paddock at Palmerston North, a bay gelding, hack-breed, eight years old, branded JH conjoined, dark stripe down back, mark of blister on off fore fetlock, shod all round, broken to harness; and a bay gelding, hack-breed, seven years old, slightly collar-marked, shod all round, no visible brands, broken to harness ; the property of Phillip Williams ; value £lO each. Identifiable.
(See Police Gazette, 1887, page 32.) The mare, the property of John Derungs, supposed stolen from a paddock at Wanganui, has been recovered.
