Information is requested respecting John Moessner, known as German John, a German, a blacksmith, has also worked as a baker and pack-horse-driver, about thirty years of age, sft. 9in. high, stout build, dark complexion, brown eyes, dark hair, short full dark beard whiskers and moustache, full round features, speaks broken English. He left the railway-works atPukerua, Wellington and Manawatu line, about six months ago in search of employment. He is inquired for with a view to recover from him the amount due for the maintenance of his sister, who is a patient in tho Wellington Lunatic Asylum.

A reward of £SO is offered for the recovery and identity of the remains of John Young Hall, missing from near Glenham Station, Wyndham, since the 28th October last. It is believed that ho died in the bush from a gun-accident, while inspecting the land he had just leased.

Information is requested respecting Violet Ginn Kelsall, a native of Auckland, a domestic servant, twenty-two years of age, sft. Sin. high, stout build, dark-brown eyes, goodlooking. She was at service at Rakaia, Canterbury, in November last, but she left there saying that she was going to Auckland. She is inquired for with a view of enforcing an order made against her at the Resident Magistrate’s Court, Waipawa, for the support of her illegitimate child.

Information is requested respecting John Leckie, a Scotchman, a shoemaker, fifty years of age, about sft. 7in. high, medium build, dark complexion, brown hair beard whiskers and moustache, stoops a little when walking. He was heard of at Invercargill in November, 1884. It is believed he has been employed as a seaman on board the steamer “Elderslie,” trading between Oamaru and London. In his last letter to his wife he spoke of being a good deal at Timaru and Oamaru. He is inquired for at tho instance of his wife.

Information is requested respecting Duncan McLean> a Highlander, a ploughman and general labourer, about thirty-five years of age, about sft. Bin. or 9in. high, stout build, about 13 stone weight, fresh complexion, red hair beard whiskers and moustache, beard and whiskers thin and about l£in. long, rather large nose, inclined to be Roman. Ho was heard of at Caroline Station, Southland District, about the 25tli December last. Ho was barman in an hotel at Wyndham about three years ago. He is inquired for so that ho may be proceeded against for the maintenance of his illegitimate child by Julia Crow.

Information is requested respecting Julia Bateman, sometimes called Berry, supposed a native of Dublin, a cook or general servant, about forty-threo years of age, about sft. sin high, slight build, dark complexion, long visage, dark

hair turning grey. She arrived in Wellington from London about nine years ago, and acted as housekeeper for John Ward, late a drummer in the 65th Regiment, and a messenger in the Government Buildings up to tho time of his death, which occurred about eight years ago. She left Porirua about six years ago, and has not since been heard of. She is inquired for at tho instance of her sister, who resides in New York, who is most anxious to find her.
