William James was seen at Freeman’s Bay, Auckland, about a month ago. It is supposed that he is at work there.

Information is requested respecting Annie Stickles, a native of the colony, eighteen years of age, small for her age, slight build ; wore dark-cream-coloured dress, white-straw hat or a brown-velvet hat, and dark ulster. She was licensed from the Caversham Industrial School to Mr. Cousins, of South Dunedin, and on the evening of the 29tli June last left her employment, and has not since been heard of. She has a married sister residing at Fairfield, and another sister of hers was recently married at Shag Point. If found please inform the Inspector of Police, Dunedin, of her whereabouts.

Information is requested respecting George Hussey Brickell, a native of the colony, a station-hand, fifteen years of age, sft. 7in. high, pale complexion, dark eyes, regular nose, light-brown hair. He left Mr. John Tully’s station, Tablelands, Martinborough, on the 13th ultimo, G. H. Brickell, barman at the Criterion Hotel, Napier, is his uncle. It is thought that he may have gone to the Kimberley Goldfields. He is inquired for at the instance of his father.

Information is requested respecting Frank Sedgwick, a native of England. He arrived at Lyttelton by the ship “ Crusader,” in 1879, and was last heard of at Christchurch in June of that year. He is inquired for at the instance of Messrs. Sedgwick and Turner, solicitors, Watford, Hertfordshire, England.

The man Johnson, who was in the employment of Edmond Morrissey, at Ophir, left Riverton on the 20th ultimo for Fairfax, where he left on the following day, saying that he was going to Winton, by way of Limestone Plains.

J. H. Stewart is missing from his lodgings, at Bunnythorpe, since the night of the 13th ultimo. Description: A native of Scotland, a schoolmaster, about fifty-five years of age, sft. 7in. or Sin. high, slight build, grey hair whiskers and moustache, chin shaved, gentlemanly appearance, usually carries a walking-stick. Pie was a school-teacher at Bunny - thorpe, and had been drinking rather heavily lately. It is said that he was seen in Wanganui on the 17th ultimo. He has been about eighteen months in the colon}'.

Information is requested respecting Agnes Read, a native of Great Yarmouth, a domestic servant, twenty and a half years of age, rather above the average height, well built, square shoulders, dark eyes, very dark complexion and hair. She left Plymouth in August, 1883, by the ship “ Westland,” for this colony. The “Westland ” brought out a large number of passengers for Dunedin and Wellington on that occasion. She is inquired for at the instance of Mrs. Esther Read, 26, Trafalgar Terrace, Great Yarmouth, England.

Information is requested respecting William Wilson Hills, a native of South Norwood, Surrey, a van-boy when in

England, twenty and a half years of age, about sft. Bin. high, very fair. He arrived in Wellington about August, 1883, as a stowaway in the ship “ Wairoa,” and was subsequently employed as kitchenman at the Post Offico Hotel. He left Wellington about five months ago for Christchurch, but no trace of him can be found there. He may be employed as a waiter or kitchenman at an hotel or restaurant. He is inquired for at the instance of his father, Zachariah Hills, 136, Old Street, London, E.C.

Information is requested respecting Frederick Garmson, a native of the colony, a carpenter, thirty-one years of age, about sft. Sin. high, stout build, dark complexion, black hair, small dark whiskers and moustache, slightly bow-legged; wore dark-grey overcoat, dark-tweed sac-coat and vest, coloured-moleskin trousers, and black hard felt hat. He left his home at North Invercargill on the night of the 15th ultimo, and was seen at Mataura on the following day. He took £9O with him, and it is thought that he has deserted his wife and three children, and may make for Sydney by way of Wellington. If found please inform the Inspector of Police, Invercargill, of his whereabouts, so that he may be proceeded against for the support of his wife and children.
