Deserting Wives and Families, &c.

Plenry Bennett is charged, on warrant issued by the Timaru Bench, with deserting his wife and two children, at Timaru, since October last. Description: English, a tinsmith, about thirty-eight years of age, about sft. 6in. or 7in. high, medium build, fair complexion, brown hair beard whiskers and moustache ; generally wears dark clothes. He came to Wellington, and was employed until recently at the Gear Meat-works. His wife and children are in destitute circumstances.
