Incendiarism.
Between 10.30 and 11.15 a.m. on the 18fch instant the railway-platform at Koromiko, Marlborough District, the property of the Government, was maliciously set on fire, but the fire was discovered and extinguished before much damage was done.
On the 13th instant the stable of Francis McGowan, at Mataura, was maliciously set on fire, hut the fire was discovered and extinguished before much damage was done. The stable was not insured.
