Information is requested respecting William Stanley Burke, a native of England, a tent- and tarpaulin-maker by trade, but may be employed as a labourer, thirty-five years of age, 5 feet 7£ inches high, black hair beard whiskers and moustache, smart active appearance, and walks with a quick and erect gait. He was hoard of at Dunedin on the Ist June last. He is inquired for so that lie may be proceeded against for the support of his three children, who are inmates of the Caversham Industrial School.

Information is requested respecting Daniel Morkane, a native of Ireland, a labourer, about forty years of age, 5 feet 10 or 11 inches high, stout build, dark complexion, dark hair beard whiskers and moustache turning grey. He left Greymouth for Wanganui about ten months ago. He is inquired for at the instance of his wife, with a view of compelling him to support her and his five children.

She left her son’s residence, Athol Place, Dunedin, on the 21st ultimo, and may have gone to Balclutha or Hawkesbury. She is of weak intellect, and, it is feared, may commit suicide.

Information is requested respecting Frederick Harper, a native of England, a woolclasser, about thirty years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, medium build, fresh complexion, light brown hair, sandy beard whiskers and moustache, a defect in left eye. He is well known on sheep-stations in Otago and Canterbury. He was heard of at Waiau, in the Canterbury District, on the 28th May last. He is inquired for so that he may be proceeded against for wife-desertion.

Information is requested respecting Harry Sawyers, a native of the colony, thirteen years of age, 5 feet high, fair complexion, round face, large grey eyes, two upper front teeth rather prominent, straight dark-brown hair, scar on front of head near forehead, right arm bent from injury; dressed in blue sailors’ knickerbocker-suit with brass buttons, darkbrown stockings, overcoat with belt at back, blue-serge hat, and new boots. He was seen in Wellington on the evening of the 31st ultimo. He is inquired for at the instance of his father.

Information is requested respecting Patrick Cavanagh, a native of Tralee, County Kerry, Ireland. He served in the 57th Regiment in this colony, and obtained his discharge in 1867. It is said that he was at Stoney Creek some time ago. He is inquired for at the instance of his brother, Robert Cavanagh, army pensioner, 15, Upton Street, London Road, Manchester, England.
