Horse- and Cattle-Stealing.

Stealing a horse and cover, the property of Alexander Kilpatrick, from a paddock at Blueskin: The man charged with this offence has been arrested by Detective Terence O’Brien, Oamaru Police, and committed for trial. His name is Harry Percy Fisher, alias Henry Smith. The horse and cover have been recovered.

Stolen between the Ist January and the Ist April last, at Kakaramea, Taranaki District, sixty-three sheep, mixed sexes, branded DIP in tar; the property of Andrew Hunter; value £3l 10s. Identifiable by brand.

Supposed stolen during the night of the 18th ultimo, from a paddock at Cambridge, a bay gelding with black points, about six years old, about 15 hands high, unbranded, shod all round, well bred ; the property of W. S. Stewart; value £lO. Identifiable. A horse of a somewhat similar description was left in the paddock.

Stolen during the night of the 9th ultimo, from a paddock at Norwood Farm, Selwyn, Christchurch, 173 merino ewes in lamb and two merino rams, all branded with two rings (conjoined) in pitch on rump; the property of William Strange ; value £B6. Identifiable.
