Between 5 and 5.30 a.m. on the 19th ultimo a house on

the premises of George Howell, at the Maori Reserve, near Riverton, was discovered on fire, by which it was destroyed. Not insured. Damage estimated at £4O. It is believed that the fire was maliciously caused. Honor Solomon, residing with her husband, a Maori, at the Maori Reserve, Riverton, suspected.
