At 11.40 p.m. on the 27th ultimo the slaughterhouse of Albert Dornwell, Kaikorai Hill, near Dunedin, was discovered on fire by James Dalziel, a carter, in Dornwell’s employ. The building was recently insured in the Australian Mercantile Union Office for £SOO. It is supposed that the fire was maliciously caused.
