Miscellaneous Information.
Appointment as Constable. William Michael Thompson, No. 2604. Rewards. The sum of £3 has been awarded to Acting Sergeant Thomas Livingstone, Dunedin Police, for the arrest of a deserter from the barque “ Rimac.”
The sum of £5 has been awarded to Sergeant William Thomas Mason, Lyttelton Police, for the arrest of a deserter from the steamer “ Tongariro.”
The sum of 17s. each has been awarded to Sergeant William Thomas Mason, and Constables Patrick McCormack, Patrick J. Herlihy, Timothy O’Connor, and Thomas Joseph McCormack, and the sum of 15s. to Constable Thomas Drake, Lyttelton Police, for special attention to the steamer “ Tongariro ” while at Lyttelton.
The sum of £3 has been awarded from the Reward Fund to Constable Thomas King, Tapanui Police, in recognition of his services in connection with the arrest and prosecution of Ah Pat, Yet Jin, Ah Shung, and Yung Jug, fined for gambling.
