(See Police Gazette, 1883, page 217.) Isaac Armstrong, charged on warrant of commitment to gaol, in default of paying a fine and costs, for illegally trespassing in pursuit of game, has been arrested by Constable Will Willoughby, Geraldine Police.

Stephen Hutchison, charged on warrant with deserting his wife at Dunedin, left the Bluff on the 14th ultimo by the steamer “ Tarawera ” for Melbourne.

Harry, alias Henry, Lloyd, charged on warrant with having assaulted William Brookland, has been arrested by Constable Thomas King, Tapanui Police, and remanded to Invercargill.

Thomas Brown, charged on warrant with deserting his wife and children at Addington, has been arrested by Constable William Campbell, Wellington Police, and ordered to pay £1 per week towards their support.
Jacob Olston Bruland is charged, on warrant issued by the Temuka Bench, with deserting his wife and four children, at Orari, since the 17th ultimo. Description : A Norwegian, a railway-labourer, about forty years of age, 5 feet 8 inches high, stout build, square shoulders, broad full face; flat pugnose, which appears to be broken at bridge; light-brown hair beard whiskers and moustache; JO B marked with blue ink on back of left hand; has been in the army; dressed in light-grey tweed suit, blue monkey-jacket, light-grey soft-felt hat, and elastic-side boots. He had been employed as a railway-ganger for a number of years. He left Orari by train, supposed for Oamaru or Invercargill. He may endeavour to leave the colony for New South Wales.
