Missing Friends.

Information is requested respecting the whereabouts of James Alexander Gibb, about twenty-four years of age, over 6 feet high, hazel eyes, thick brown hair inclined to be wavy ; cannot pronounce some of his words. He left Melbourne on the 3rd June, 1879, for Dunedin, and was last heard of at Invercargill in that year. He had letters of introduction to Mr. W. Bartleman and Messrs. Draper and Charters, of Christchurch, which he forwarded to them from Invercargill. Inquiry is made for him at the request of his mother, who resides in Melbourne.

Information is requested respecting the whereabouts, occupation, and circumstances of Salvatore Messana, a native of Italy, who was last heard of in this colony in 1867. Inquiry is made for him at the request of the Italian Consular Agent, Wellington.

He had been employed by the Dunedin Tram Company, but left about a year ago and went to Melbourne, where he is now supposed to be driving an omnibus or hansom cab. Inquiry is made for him in order to obtain particulars in a case of bigamy now pending.

Information is requested respecting the whereabouts of Thomas Bradley, a native of Liverpool, an able seaman, sixtynine years of age, about 5 feet 2 or 3 inches high, stout build, broad shoulders, florid auburn complexion. He served on board Her Majesty’s ship “ Lynx,” and on the 26th December, 1834, while boarding a Portuguese slave brig, received a swordcut across one of his cheeks. He left Glasgow in August, 1848, and was heard of at Pigeon Bay, Canterbury, in 1850. Inquiry is made for him at the request of George Enson Davis, lOu, Portland Street, Manchester.
