Deserters from Merchant Vessels.

O. J. Hennan is charged with deserting from the ship “Piako,” at Port Chalmers, during the night of the 26th ultimo. Description: A Swede, fifty years of age, 5 feet 8 inches high, dark complexion, dark-brown eyes, high cheekbones, dark hair and beard turning grey, cheeks and upper lip shaved; dressed in dark clothes; respectable appearance. A. reward of £3 is offered for his arrest if effected on or before the 15th instant.

Robert Hudson is charged with deserting from the ship “ Dunedin,” at Port Chalmers, during the night of the 28th ultimo. Description : Scotch, forty-five years of age, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, stout build, fresh complexion, blue eyes, fair hair whiskers and moustache turning grey.

Godfrey Jensen and Fitz Tromo are charged with deserting from the brigantine “Pax,” at Dunedin, on the 2nd or 3rd instant. Description: Jansen is a Norwegian, twenty-four years of age, 5 feet high, slight build, pale complexion, fair hair, no hair on face except fair moustache. Tromo is a German, twenty-five years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, slight build, fair complexion and hair, no hair on face except fair moustache.
